| Catechists | A Catechist is a person who volunteers and dedicates their time and talents to passing on the traditions of the Catholic faith to our young people. All catechists receive professional training in content and methodology of teaching. Workshops and courses are offered continually throughout the year by the Diocesan Office of Faith Formation for the catechists to continue to update their knowledge. | Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion | Parishioners commissioned to distribute the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion may also bring the Eucharist to the sick and homebound members of the parish as well as those hospitalized. If you are interested, please see one of the priests. Ministry to the Sick and Homebound Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion may also bring the Eucharist to the sick and homebound members of the parish who are unable to attend Mass and receive Communion in church. As a result of the generosity of these ministers, Holy Communion will be available to these persons every Saturday evening or Sunday coinciding when the community gathers for Eucharist. | Lectors | The role of the lector is to proclaim the Word of God at liturgical celebrations and the celebration of Eucharist. If you are interested, please contact Sister Terry at the Rectory and she will explain the process involved in becoming a lector. Mr. Tom Donahue schedules the lectors for weekend liturgies after they have received Diocesan Training and are commissioned for this ministry. | ![]() |
| Ministers of Hospitality/Ushers | Provide assistance at Mass and other liturgical celebrations, guiding seating, processing, distribution of materials and collections. If you are interested,, please see one of the priests and you will be referred to Mr. TJ Chin. | |

Cantors lead singing at Mass. | ![]() |
Adult Choir sings at the 11:30am Mass every other Sunday and rehearses after that Mass. Folk Group sings at the 11:30am Mass every other Sunday and practices before that Mass. Instrumental musicians are always welcomed. |

Children's/Youth Chime Choir meets every other Sunday after the 11:30am Mass. Youth Band is starting up. Anyone who plays an instrument or sings and wants to join, please see Mrs. Lisa Allongo. Aquinas Ringers are not acccepting new members at this time, but they play every other Sunday and on special holidays. |

| AA | AA is not a religious program, but a spiritual one. The purpose of which is to help those who are recovering from the disease of alcoholism. The group has the "Twelve Steps" guidelines for individuals and the "Twelve Traditions" guidelines for the group. Step #2 is important - "Come to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity." We meet twice a week at St. Thomas Aquinas - on Sunday's and Wednesday's. | Ancient Order of Gardeners | A group of parishioners who contribute their time and love of nature to care for the gardens around the Church, beautifying God's creation. We gather on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the year. | ![]() |
| Eucharistic Adoration | All are invited for a time of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Every Friday following the Noon Mass with Benediction celebrated at 1:30pm. See the bulletin for details. | |
| Finance Council | Parishioners who assist the Pastor as stewards of parish resources. | |
| Holy Name Society | An organization of men who promote the Holy Name of Jesus, this group is open to all men of the parish. Please contact the Rectory and you will be referred to one of the Officers. We gather once a month, on the second Sunday, at the 11:30am Mass. | ![]() |
| Legion of Mary | People who gather for prayer and who reach out to those in nursing homes, hospitals and the homebound. Meets every Monday at 7:15pm in the Rectory. We gather once a month, on the third Sunday, at the 11:30am Mass. | ![]() |

| Pastoral Council | Parishioners helping to provide future direction and vision to the Parish of Saint Thomas Aquinas. | |
| Rosary Society | An organization of women rooted in devotion and prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Activities and meetings are open to all women of the parish, and new members are always welcomed. | Sports Program | Athletic participation for children, teaching them about playing together as a team while instilling Catholic values. Includes basketball, baseball and soccer. For more information, please contact the Rectory. | ![]() |
| Theater League | The Theater League was started in 2006. "Godspell," "We're Off-Broadway (11.1 Miles Off-Broadway)," "We're Not in Kansas Anymore," "We're Idle," and "We're at the Movies: A Musical Journey Through the Silver Screen"are the shows already added to the League's resume. | Youth Group | This group is open to the youth of the parish. The first objective is to learn about God, life pressures that an adolescent faces, and how God and the Church can help them. Other objectives are to become more involved in the parish and to offer opportunities for service to others, sporting events, movies and other social gatherings.
